The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sawyer scores with a jab to the head.
Sawyer throws a right hand that Francis ducks under and follows up with a left that Francis also avoids with ease.
Sawyer tries to score a power double leg takedown but Francis sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sawyer somewhat.
Francis catches Sawyer with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Sawyer takes one on the button.
Walter Francis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Francis clobbers Sawyer with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Sawyer throws a right hand that Francis ducks under and follows up with a left that Francis also avoids with ease.
Francis slips under a jab from Sawyer.
Francis misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sawyer.
Francis lands with an uppercut that bounces Sawyer off the cage and back into range.
Sawyer throws a low kick but Francis avoids it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sawyer walks into a left hand.
Francis takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Sawyer is rocked!
Francis drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Sawyer's head, knocking him out cold! Francis is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Walter Francis!
