Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Antwan Tran (ranked 1425 p4p, 2369 weight class) and Zdravko Dren Jr (ranked 75 p4p, 78 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Antwan Tran! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 12 - 16 - 0, fighting out of New York, Zdravko Dren Jr! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Micheangelo Fripello and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A big left from Dren Jr misses. Dren Jr tries to clinch up but Tran circles away and keeps his distance. Dren Jr connects with an inside leg kick. Sloppy strikes from Dren Jr. Those never looked like landing. Dren Jr lands with an overhand left. Tran avoids the head kick by Dren Jr.

It looks like Antwan Tran has been cut. Tran lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
It looks like Zdravko Dren Jr has been cut. Zdravko Dren Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A jab from Tran misses. Dren Jr is trying to counter with his kicks. Dren Jr has taken the fight to the clinch.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Tran. Dren Jr throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Tran manages to break the clinch.
Tran throws a jab when Dren Jr was well out of range. Dren Jr displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Tran throws out the jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dren Jr fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Dren Jr takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Dren Jr throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Tran's head. Tran has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Dren Jr cracks a nice hook into Tran's ribs. Dren Jr scores with a nice head shot. Dren Jr staying out of range there. Despite the aggression on Dren Jr's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Dren Jr lands a jab. Tran takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Tran misses the shot to the body. Tran takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A big right from Tran misses. Dren Jr with a hook.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Tran works Dren Jr's body with a nice hook. Dren Jr avoids a punch combination nicely.
Dren Jr fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Tran has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Dren Jr chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Dren Jr thuds a left hand into Tran's body. Tran throws an overhand right that lands on Dren Jr's shoulder, as Dren Jr tries to avoid the shot. Dren Jr moves out of range as Tran strikes. Dren Jr lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Dren Jr connects with a good right hand that stumbles Tran. Tran circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Dren Jr lands with an uppercut that bounces Tran off the cage and back into range. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Zdravko Dren Jr dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Dren Jr engages and cracks Tran with a massive lead left hook - Tran tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Dren Jr is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Zdravko Dren Jr! After winning the bout, Zdravko Dren Jr thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
