Coming up we have a lightweight kickboxing rules bout between Schmedgar Dimms (ranked 4151 p4p, 4590 weight class) and Kenjiro Tokugawa (ranked 332 p4p, 377 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 31 - 19 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Schmedgar Dimms! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 15 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kenjiro Tokugawa! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Paul Gruel and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tokugawa throws a leg kick and Dimms counters with a stiff right hand. Dimms scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Kenjiro Tokugawa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tokugawa jabbing away but nothing is landing. It looked like Dimms wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Dimms throws a sloppy head kick and Tokugawa moves out of range easily. Tokugawa throws a quick inside leg kick. Tokugawa clinches up with Dimms and pushes him back against the cage. Dimms breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Dimms scores with a kick to the body.
Dimms tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tokugawa was well out of range. Poor timing from Dimms. A nice combination there by Dimms.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Dimms displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Tokugawa throws out the jab. Dimms throws a head kick that misses. Dimms keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tokugawa tried to score with a low kick but Dimms checks it. Tokugawa blocks a leg kick. A bone on bone clash there as Dimms blocks the leg kick.
Tokugawa instigates a clinch. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Tokugawa has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Dimms breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Dimms tries a head kick but it misses.
Tokugawa scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Dimms on the wrong end of a nice hook. Tokugawa throws a nice inside leg kick. Tokugawa throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Dimms counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Tokugawa is lucky that one didn't land flush. Tokugawa throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Dimms fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Tokugawa. Tokugawa throws a lazy uppercut
letting Dimms counter with a right hand. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The fight stays on the outside here - Tokugawa looks like he's thinking about clinching though. An attempted straight right counter from Dimms misses the target.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dimms misses with the combination.

Dimms darts in and clinches Tokugawa up against the cage. Tokugawa misses with a punch to the body.

Tokugawa pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Dimms is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Tokugawa. Dimms rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Tokugawa counters with a body kick that stops Dimms in his tracks momentarily. Tokugawa tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dimms paws at him with a jab and circles away. Dimms pulls out of a head kick attempt.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Tokugawa rushes Dimms and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Schmedgar Dimms will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Tokugawa scores with a head kick. Dimms tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Tokugawa looks to throw the jab but Dimms is out of range. Dimms scores with a nice head shot. The fight moves into the clinch position. Tokugawa tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Dimms's elbow. Tokugawa misses with the head strike.
Dimms is trying to force a seperation but Tokugawa has the dominant position. Dimms escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A looping hook to the body misses from Dimms. Tokugawa does a little dance to reset his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tokugawa fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Dimms is out of range. Tokugawa misses with a leg kick. Dimms lands a nice looking body shot.

Tokugawa throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Schmedgar Dimms is winning the standup battle so far. Nice straight punches there by Dimms. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Dimms. Dimms is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Tokugawa can do to turn this around? Tokugawa dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Dimms. That did some damage! Tokugawa misses with a low kick. Dimms takes a swing at Tokugawa's ribcage but misses. Tokugawa only half commits to the counter leg kick. Tokugawa throws a big shot that misses. Dimms throws a big counter combination but Tokugawa scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Dimms takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Tokugawa takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Dimms avoids the body shot from Tokugawa.

Schmedgar Dimms dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round! Tokugawa with a nice calf kick. Kenjiro Tokugawa has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Tokugawa throws a leg kick and Dimms counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Tokugawa throws a wild body kick that Dimms sees coming a mile off. Tokugawa circles away from the clinch attempt.
Tokugawa lands a jab to the nose. Dimms fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
And Tokugawa responds with a good body kick, but Dimms manages to step out the way in time. Tokugawa connects with an inside leg kick. No joy there for Dimms, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Tokugawa avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Dimms throws a right hand that Tokugawa ducks under and follows up with a left that Tokugawa also avoids with ease. Tokugawa ducks under a wild hook from Dimms. Dimms plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Tokugawa tries to close the distance and clinch but Dimms swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Dimms throws a body shot but no joy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tokugawa with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Dimms to score with a decent uppercut. Tokugawa misses with a low kick as Dimms jumps back. A decent looking cross lands there for Dimms. Tokugawa tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dimms was well out of range. Poor timing from Tokugawa. Dimms looks to land a combination but Tokugawa avoids it well. Good leg kick by Tokugawa. Tokugawa goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Dimms fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Tokugawa looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Dimms is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Tokugawa lands a right hook to the body.
Tokugawa on the wrong end of a nice jab. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Tokugawa lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Dimms has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Dimms and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. A low kick from Tokugawa is predictable there and Dimms counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Dimms uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Tokugawa.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Tokugawa wants to clinch. A quick step to the side and Dimms tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Dimms rushes Tokugawa and presses him up against the cage. Dimms breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. It looks like Dimms has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him. Dimms swinging wildly here.
A head kick misses from Dimms. A head kick misses from Dimms. Tokugawa keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Tokugawa feints and then cracks Dimms's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Dimms down. Schmedgar Dimms is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Dimms misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Tokugawa raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
And that's the end of the fight! Schmedgar Dimms showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dimms, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
