PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rah Rah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyson Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Walker comes into a darkened arena with his song building. T.I. - Motivation kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tyson Walker!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rah scoring well with a low kick there.
Walker is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Rah tries a head kick but it misses.
Walker looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rah is fending him off so far but Walker persists. Nope, Rah circles away and we're back to standing.
Walker takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Walker takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Nice jab there from Walker.
Walker comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Walker tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Rah was well out of range. Poor timing from Walker.
Rah throws a nice outside leg kick.
Walker looks gassed!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rah explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Walker takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Walker swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Rah throws a leg kick which misses Walker's front leg but catches the back leg as Walker tries to avoid it.
A nice inside leg kick there by Rah. That's going to slow Walker down.
Rah connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
A solid leg kick lands there for Rah.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Good leg kick by Rah there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Walker stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Rah.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Rah.

Rah lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!


It looks like Tyson Walker has been cut.
Rah with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Walker is breathing heavily.
Rah crunches a lovely knee into Walker's ribcage.

Rah throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Walker blocks it with crossed arms.

Rah with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Walker jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Rah walks away with a smile on his face. Walker gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Rah throws a low kick but it's checked well by Walker.
A swing and a miss from Walker.
Rah throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Rah chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Walker's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Rah fakes the leg kick and cracks Walker in the body.
Walker chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Rah can pounce on him.
Walker fails to land with a series of punches.
Rah misses with a body kick.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Walker throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Rah rushes Walker and presses him up against the ropes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Rah wants to clinch.
Walker thows a body shot but no joy.
Rah attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Rah is looking to score with low kicks.
Walker takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Good leg kick by Rah there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Rah slips under a jab from Walker.

Rah throws a leg kick which misses Walker's front leg but catches the back leg as Walker tries to avoid it.
Rah buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Rah wants to clinch.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Walker crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Rah - the referee stops the clock and Walker gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Rah. Walker manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Rah goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Walker on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Rah. Rah obviously looking to wear him down.

Rah moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Rah Rah is winning the standup battle so far.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rah throws a leg kick but Walker sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Walker looks to land a right hand but Rah moved out of range.
Rah throws a wild body kick that Walker sees coming a mile off.
Rah lands with a kick to the ribs.
Rah scoring well with a low kick there.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


A big head kick from Rah and Walker is sent sprawling to the canvas!


Walker is rocked!
Rah wants to get up but he can't break Walker's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Rah knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Walker on the ground.
Walker lands a decent shot there.
Walker is trying to keep Rah in close.
It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over.

Rah avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Rah wants to stand but Walker has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Walker wants to sweep here but Rah controlling him for the moment.
Walker is trying to keep Rah in close.
Rah might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Rah misses with a leg kick.
Rah keeps Walker at a distance using the push kick.
Walker tries for a takedown but Rah sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Tyson Walker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rah scores with a leg kick.
Rah fails with an attempt to clinch.
Rah throws a head kick but Walker moves out of range.

Rah tries to close the distance and clinch but Walker swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Walker fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rah manages to avoid it.
Walker chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Rah can pounce on him.

Tyson Walker has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Rah Rah is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Rah clinches up with Walker and pushes him back against the ropes.
Walker wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Walker fails to land.

Rah Rah showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rah, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
