Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Krypton Brussard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Austin Stevens!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Micheangelo Fripello and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stevens on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Brussard looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Stevens throws a body punch but Brussard moves out of range.
Stevens throws a lazy uppercut
and Brussard counters with a low kick, right behind Stevens 's knee.
Stevens throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Stevens misses with a leg kick
and Brussard counters with a thumping low kick.
Stevens waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Brussard.
Brussard connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Stevens throws the left hand but Brussard avoids the punch easily.
Austin Stevens seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stevens fails to land with a series of punches.
Brussard showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Stevens.
Brussard avoids the body shot from Stevens.
Stevens misses with a hook.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Brussard ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Stevens lands a nice looking body shot.
Brussard thuds his shin into the meat of Stevens's side.
We've been told by Brussard's head coaches at ubergym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Brussard digs a good hook to Stevens's body.
Stevens on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Stevens throws a hook to the side of Brussard's head but Brussard sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Stevens checks a leg kick.
Brussard throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Stevens swings away with a body shot that misses
and Brussard counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Brussard throws an overhand right that drops Stevens like a sack of potatoes! Brussard dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Krypton Brussard!
