Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Christ (ranked 801 p4p, 1751 weight class) and Uzochukwu Adebo (ranked 106 p4p, 217 weight class). Adebo has chosen MERCURY as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jeff Christ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Uzochukwu Adebo! The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Ryoma Takatsuka and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Adebo misses with an uppercut
and Christ counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Adebo! Sloppy strikes there by Christ. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Adebo is not content to let Christ control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Adebo keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Nice uppercut lands for Christ. That snapped Adebo's head back.
Adebo throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Adebo works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
It looks like Jeff Christ has been cut. Jeff Christ seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Christ shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Adebo sprawls well. Adebo wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Christ gets slowly back to his feet. It seemed like Adebo was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Christ goes for a double leg but Adebo avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Adebo continues to drive forward. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Adebo! But no joy. Adebo swings wildly with an uppercut but Christ uses good head movement to avoid it. Christ works on Adebo's body with a couple of short punches. Christ is trying to break the clinch but Adebo has him pressed against the cage. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! A close second round but Uzochukwu Adebo will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Jeff Christ's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round! Christ tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Adebo was well out of range. Poor timing from Christ. Christ looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. The fighters circling - Adebo throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Christ throws a right hand that misses
and Adebo counters with a lovely straight right hand! Adebo is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Christ. Christ attempts a counter takedown but Adebo avoids it well and moves away. Christ ducks under a wild hook from Adebo. Adebo misses with a wild body shot. Adebo takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Adebo connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Christ's hands. Christ manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Adebo on his heels. He'll look to pass Adebo's guard now, I'm sure. Jeff Christ overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Christ wants to control from the top but Adebo keeps moving. Christ throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Christ trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Christ trying to control the position from guard on top but Adebo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Christ accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Now he's in guard on top.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Christ is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Adebo is not content to let Christ control the position. Christ looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Adebo with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Adebo regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Christ. Christ stands up over Adebo, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Christ throwing strikes but missing. Christ missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Adebo trying to keep a closed guard but Christ is proving a slippery customer.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Christ wants to control from the top but Adebo keeps moving.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Jeff Christ! Jeff Christ decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
