Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between El President (ranked 1234 p4p, 869 weight class) and Great Tiger (ranked 165 p4p, 119 weight class). El President could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Great Tiger's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, El President! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Great Tiger! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tiger takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. President swings and misses with a hook to the body.
President thows a left - swing and a miss! And an attempted straight right on the counter from Tiger! But no joy. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Tiger has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. President drops Tiger with a beautiful combination! Tiger stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - President is looking for the KO!
Tiger is rocked! A big left from President misses. Tiger is still on wobbly legs! Can President finish him? President slips under a jab. Tiger seems to have recovered his senses. Good leg kick by President. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Tiger lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but President circles away quickly and effectively. Donk. President catches Tiger right on the button with a cross. Tiger ducks under a wild hook from President. El President seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A jab from President misses. Tiger drops down looking to force a counter takedown but President defends it well. President digs a good body shot into Tiger's ribs. President scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. President really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Tiger bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. President looks to score with a jab to the body but Tiger is just out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. A telegraphed right hand from President misses the target. President lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. A head kick by President misses and Tiger counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. President lands an overhand right. President lands a nice looking body shot.
Tiger cracks President with a right hand to the side of the head. President with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Tiger closes the distance and clinches up with President, looking for a takedown. Tiger pushes President against the cage but President circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Tiger has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from President finds it's way round the side to connect with Tiger's head. President cracks Tiger with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Tiger ducks under a wild hook from President. Tiger tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. President uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Tiger. President uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Tiger. President throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Tiger counters with a nice uppercut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. President misses the shot to the body. Tiger thuds his right hand into President's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. President looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. President fails to land with a series of punches.
Tiger feints and as President raises his hands in defense, Tiger changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. President pushes Tiger off and gets back to his feet.
Nice body punch from President. President fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Tiger looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Tiger trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Tiger slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. President will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. President looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Tiger wants to control from the top but President keeps moving. Tiger looking to pass the guard. President looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Tiger wants to pass the guard but President is keeping the position. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Tiger trying to control the position from guard on top but President is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Tiger avoids the body shot from President.
Tiger lands a jab-cross combination. Tiger throws a series of punches but President moves out of range. Tiger tests President's chin there with a solid looking shot. President on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
President is rocked! President swings for the body but Tiger moves out of range.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Tiger looks for a takedown but President sprawls well. Left hook, right uppercut from President. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
El President dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Tiger misses with a wild body shot. Tiger tries to clinch but President is having none of it. Nice shot lands for President. President connects with a good right hand that stumbles Tiger. Tiger circles away out of range and recomposes himself. President cracks Tiger with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Tiger looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can President finish him?

President throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. President misses the shot to the body. Tiger misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from President.

Tiger doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Tiger throws a looping overhand right but President ducks down to avoid it. Tiger scores with a shot to the body.
President connects with a nice looking jab.

That's two minutes gone in the round. President misses with a jab, cross combination.
President throws a wild body kick that Tiger sees coming a mile off. Tiger takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. A big right from President misses. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Nice defenses there by President. President swings and misses with a shot to the body enabling Tiger to counter with a crisp jab. Tiger forces President back against the cage and clinches. President tries to break free but Tiger pushes him back against the cage. President can't break the clinch.
President breaks from the clinch.
President feints and then cracks Tiger's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Tiger down. Tiger drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Tiger tries to free his leg and advance position but President is retaining full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tiger trying to control but President is working from the bottom. Tiger wants to pass the guard but President is keeping the position. President being controlled here, momentarily. Tiger trying to control but President is working from the bottom. Tiger passes into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Tiger is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Tiger is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, President has managed to free his arm - good work. Tiger is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so President is just riding it out for now. Tiger eventually gives up the hold. Tiger is taking a breather. President says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
El President dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round! President misses with a series of wild punches.
President throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. President swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A head kick misses from President. President feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Tigers jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Tiger has managed to clinch.
President throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Tigers head. President wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
President breaks the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tiger tries to score a power double leg takedown but President sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Tiger somewhat. An attempted straight right counter from President misses the target. Nice defenses there by President.
That's one minute gone in the round. President throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. A little jabbing left from Tiger on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. President misses with a right hand and President takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Excellent takedown into side control there by Tiger. Tiger tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Tiger has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Tiger goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, President has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Tiger but great work by President. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tiger is trying to improve his position. Tiger wants to control but President postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tiger tries to bench press President off him but President keeps the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tiger is still trying to improve position. Tiger holds on to President's head and controls the position momentarily. President is looking to take a break and control but Tiger is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. This has been an exciting period of action! Tiger is trying to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. President happy to just control the position for now. Tiger is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Great Tiger has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Tiger is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Great Tiger has got the better of the ground game so far.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. President drops his hands momentarily and Tiger takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. President throws a jab when Tiger was well out of range. Tiger drops down looking to force a counter takedown but President defends it well. Tiger shoots in and bounces President off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Tiger looking to pass the guard. El President is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. President avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Great Tiger. I think President has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
