Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Chong Jr (ranked 1251 p4p, 1070 weight class) and Raphael Couture (ranked 170 p4p, 142 weight class). Raphael Couture has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Tommy Chong Jr's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tommy Chong Jr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Raphael Couture!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Taro Takaoka and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chong Jr shoots in and bounces Couture off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Couture trying to keep a closed guard but Chong Jr is proving a slippery customer.

Chong Jr stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Couture swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Chong Jr got a little sloppy there for a moment and Couture has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Chong Jr has managed to get both his arms back between Couture's legs - danger averted.
Couture had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Chong Jr defends it easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Couture working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Chong Jr doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Chong Jr manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Our spies down at at Canucks Combat Club inform us that Couture has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Chong Jr drops back looking for a leg! Couture is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Couture manages to kick Chong Jr off! Chong Jr jumps back into Couture's guard.

Chong Jr seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Couture for as long as he can get away with.

Chong Jr ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Chong Jr no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Chong Jr is looking to cinch up a triangle. Couture throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Chong Jr's body to avoid the submission. Chong Jr has instead reached around Couture's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Chong Jr arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Tommy Chong Jr!
