Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rodney Pitstain (ranked 5146 p4p, 3303 weight class) and Jordan Ruiz (ranked 456 p4p, 346 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Rodney Pitstain! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jordan Ruiz! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Sosuke Kotani and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ruiz moves out of range of the strikes. A punch combination from Pitstain misses. Ruiz is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Pitstain with a body shot. Pitstain throws a head kick that misses and Ruiz counters with an inside leg kick. Ruiz pushes Pitstain up against the cage in a clinch. Pitstain wants to get back to striking at distance but Ruiz won't allow it.

and Ruiz counters with a nice body shot. We've been told by Pitstain's head coaches at Shut Up & Train! that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ruiz with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Jordan Ruiz is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Ruiz has closed the distance and engaged Pitstain in a clinch.

And that's the end of the fight! Jordan Ruiz comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Ruiz has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
