Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Conner Contreras!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gunner Gibbs!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Andrew Berry and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A momentary lapse in concentration from Contreras enables Gibbs to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Contreras manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Gibbs postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Gibbs is in close to Contreras's body, working some short punches and elbows.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Contreras not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Contreras bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Gibbs's guard.
Gibbs has a closed guard, preventing Contreras from standing up.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Gibbs is on top in guard.
Gibbs lands a couple of elbows.
Gibbs is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Contreras is trying to keep Gibbs in close.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Gibbs's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Contreras is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gibbs controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Oh Contreras is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gibbs wants to pass the guard but Contreras is keeping the position.
Gibbs with a nice head shot there.
Contreras really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Gibbs distracts Contreras with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Gibbs postures up.
Gibbs is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Gibbs arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Contreras's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
