Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Brenden Hickman!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Frederico Mora!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, William Gold and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hickman looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Mora!
Hickman trying to control the action but Mora is working from the bottom.
Mora can't do much from the bottom here.
Hickman is looking to take a break and control but Mora is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Hickman wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Mora, who protects the arm well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mora tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Hickman is looking to take a break and control but Mora is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Hickman tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hickman has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Mora tries to improve position but can't.
Hickman is chipping away with strikes.

Hickman is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Mora knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Mora takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Mora staying busy and making it hard for Hickman to control.

Mora is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Hickman gets his way!

You can see the frustration on Mora's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
The referee is taking a good look at Mora as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Hickman!
Mora rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Hickman could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Mora has momentary wrist control but Hickman slips an elbow through the middle.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Mora unleashes a big counter combination but Hickman bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Hickman takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Mora works Hickman's body with a nice hook.
Mora tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hickman was well out of range. Poor timing from Mora.

Hickman ducks right into an uppercut from Mora.

Hickman dives in and grabs Mora's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mora pushes down on Hickman's head and hops out.
Mora throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Hickman shoots in for a double leg but Mora sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
A little jabbing left from Mora on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brenden Hickman. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Frederico Mora showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Frederico Mora is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Mora stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mora wants it to stay on the feet.

Hickman uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mora.
Hickman shoots in and drives through. Mora sprawls well.
Mora's jab looks to have found its range, popping Hickman under the eye.

Frederico Mora seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Hickman shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Hickman takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Mora's jab looks to have found its range, popping Hickman under the eye.
Mora has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Mora lands a right hook to the body.
Mora stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Frederico Mora comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
