The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brakes changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Zapata looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Brakes cracks Zapata with a big elbow.
Zapata bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Brakes stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Brakes gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Brakes throws a head kick that misses.
Zapata wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Brakes drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Brakes seems to have locked his on tight now - Zapata screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Brakes, as he picks up the win!
