Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Clark Zapata (ranked 25050 p4p, 3843 weight class) and Calvin Brakes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zapata comes to the cage accompanied by Alab ng Puso. The key to victory for Clark Zapata has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clark Zapata! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Calvin Brakes! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brakes changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Zapata looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Brakes cracks Zapata with a big elbow. Zapata bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Brakes drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Brakes stands up and we're back to a striking position. Brakes gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Brakes throws a head kick that misses. Zapata wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Brakes scores with a takedown into Zapata's guard. Zapata is trying to keep Brakes in close.
Brakes prevents Zapata from getting back to his feet. Brakes controls from within his opponent's guard. Brakes makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Brakes has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zapata wants to sweep but no luck. Brakes drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Brakes seems to have locked his on tight now - Zapata screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Brakes, as he picks up the win!
