Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Wayne Walker (ranked 4986 p4p, 5100 weight class) and Ethan Walters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Walters has chosen Shepard Of Fire as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Wayne Walker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ethan Walters!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walters throws a body shot but no joy.
Walker closes the distance and clinches up with Walters, looking for a takedown. Walker pushes Walters against the cage but Walters circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Walters rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Walker moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Walker blocks a head kick by Walters.

Walker closes the distance and clinches.
Walters is looking to break free of the clinch but Walker has double underhooks.
Walters is trying to stall.
Walters drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Walker prevents Walters from breaking the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Walters is trying to force a seperation but Walker has the dominant position.

Walker manages to break the clinch.
Walker shoots for a double leg takedown but Walters sprawls well. He's pushed Walker's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Walker wants to take the fight to the mat but Walters manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Walters wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Walker has him pressed against the cage.

Walters escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Walker goes for a double leg but Walters avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Walters continues to drive forward.

Walters jumps guard but Walker stands there with Walters around his waist. Walters gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Walters can't break the clinch.
Walker keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Walters's efforts to push away.
Walters is looking for a takedown.
Walters tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Walters working hard to break the clinch.
Walters throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Walker blocks it with crossed arms.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Ethan Walters will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Walker clinches up with Walters and pushes him back against the cage.

Walker throws a quick counter head kick but Walters was just out of range.

and Walker counters by clinching up.
Walters tries to pull guard but Walker won't allow it.
Walker stalls.
Walker keeps control of Walters as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Walker tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Walters smiles and moves away.

Walker manages to break the clinch.
Walker throws a right hand that Walters ducks under and follows up with a left that Walters also avoids with ease.
Despite the aggression on Walters's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Walker shoots for a takedown but Walters saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Walters stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Walters wants it to stay on the feet.
Wayne Walker is winning the standup battle so far.
Walters tries to clinch there but Walker circles away.

Walters fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Walker sprawls well initially but Walters persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Walker manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Walters keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The referee calls for Walker to work.
Walters jumps guard but Walker stands there with Walters around his waist. Walters gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Walker tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Walters's elbow.

Walters is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Walker shoots in looking for a takedown. Walters tries to sprawl out of it but Walker keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Walters manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Walters wants to counter the offense by Walker and move into the clinch position.
Walters tries to close the distance and clinch up but Walker swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Walker went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Walker dives in and grabs Walters's left leg, looking for a takedown. Walters pushes down on Walker's head and hops out.
Walters is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Walters shoots for a takedown but Walker saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Walters closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Walker wants to get back to his feet but Walters is dominant here and he's now got Walker's back!

Walker is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Walters can do to turn this around?

Walker is trying to escape but he's just digging himself into more trouble. Walters manages to sink in the hooks and gets a rear naked choke to end the fight in impressive fashion.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Ethan Walters!
Ethan Walters was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
