Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Terry Tyrone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Forde Oxmier!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Luis Engracia and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Oxmier is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Tyrone is keeping busy.
Tyrone is trying to pull guard but Oxmier has him pressed against the cage.
Tyrone is pushing Oxmier up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Tyrone tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Oxmier smiles and moves away.
No luck for Oxmier with that takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Tyrone pulls guard successfully.

Tyrone is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Oxmier is controlling him.

Oxmier is fighting to break Tyrone's control of his arms but Tyrone is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Oxmier wants to control from the top but Tyrone keeps moving.
Oxmier must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Tyrone wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Oxmier gets to his feet - Tyrone follows without any prompting.

Oxmier drops down looking for an ankle pick but Tyrone pulls his leg out and moves away.

As Oxmier backs away, Tyrone returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Tyrone stuffs the takedown attempt from Oxmier. Oxmier gets slowly back to his feet.
Terry Tyrone has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Forde Oxmier.

Oxmier shoots in and drives through. Tyrone sprawls well.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Tyrone cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Oxmier is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Tyrone takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Tyrone wants to get up but he can't break Oxmier's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Oxmier is controlling Tyrone's posture.
Tyrone has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Tyrone slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Tyrone is in close to Oxmier's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Oxmier is looking for a triangle here but Tyrone uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Tyrone throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Oxmier tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Tyrone is in Oxmier's guard.
Oxmier is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Tyrone dives into side control.
Tyrone swings around for an armbar but Oxmier sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Tyrone's guard.
Tyrone has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Tyrone might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Tyrone lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Oxmier takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Tyrone takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Tyrone is working for a kimura here but Oxmier manages to reverse the position and he's now in Tyrone's guard.

Tyrone's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
