Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andreas Burns (ranked 2891 p4p, 3427 weight class) and Shawn Irwin (ranked 337 p4p, 394 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Andreas Burns! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Shawn Irwin! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Dmitry Maklakov and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Irwin tries to clinch but Burns moves away and Burns counters with a lovely straight right hand! Burns swats away the attempt to clinch by Irwin. Burns lands a head shot. Burns takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Irwin throws a leg kick enabling Burns to counter with a crisp jab. A low kick from Irwin misses and Burns counters with a nice uppercut. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Irwin tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Burns counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Nice straight punches there by Burns. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Burns. Irwin looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
That's one minute gone in the round. Irwin instigates a clinch. Burns lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Irwin backwards. Burns breaks from the clinch.
Irwin tries to clinch but Burns moves away and Burns counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Irwin tries to close the distance and clinch up but Burns swats him away and circles back towards the center. Irwin darts in trying to clinch and Burns counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Burns circles away from the clinch attempt and Burns counters with a straight right hand. Burns scores with the left hand. Irwin knows he should have avoided that one.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Burns lands a big uppercut and Irwin crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Irwin looks OK. Burns waves Irwin back to his feet! Burns is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Irwin connects with an inside leg kick. Burns blocks a leg kick. Irwin throws out a leg kick but Burns moves out of range and Irwin only half commits. Shawn Irwin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Irwin moves into the clinch. Burns manages to break the clinch.
Burns scores with a body shot.
Burns lands with a straight right. Irwin didn't see that one coming. Irwin takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
A head kick by Irwin misses and Irwin takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Irwin tries to clinch but fails miserably enabling Burns to counter with a crisp jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Irwin closes the distance looking to clinch and Burns counters with a nice right hand that sends Irwin toppling to the canvas! Irwin scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Burns finish him?!

Irwin scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Burns finish him?! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Burns drops Irwin with a straight right hand, right on the button! Burns follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Andreas Burns! After the fight, Andreas Burns was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
