Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mickey Mfer!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Duane Souza!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Sergei Dronov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mfer throws a poor cross that misses

and Souza counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Mfer has one foot on Souza's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Souza looks for a takedown but Mfer sprawls well.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mickey Mfer will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Souza takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Souza is rocked!

It looks like Duane Souza has been cut.
