Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dubba Sub (ranked 3463 p4p, 3505 weight class) and Bastien Deny (ranked 398 p4p, 400 weight class). Sub's entrance music is Live It Up!. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dubba Sub! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bastien Deny! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Chris Edwards and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sub fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Deny tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Sub throws a lazy body kick and Deny counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Sub! Deny working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Deny is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Sub has escaped the position, nice work there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sub is looking to reverse the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sub is working hard here to advance position. Sub gets back to half guard. Sub makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Sub. Deny trying to stand up but can't free himself from Sub's guard. Sub is adopting a defensive guard. Sub trying to keep a closed guard but Deny is proving a slippery customer.
Sub might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Sub has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Deny wants to get up but he can't break Sub's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Sub misses with a takedown attempt - Deny sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sub fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dubba Sub. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sub fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Sub shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Deny manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Deny can do anything to dispel that myth. Deny working for submissions but it's allowed Sub to get to half guard.
Sub moves into full mount! Deny won't be happy about that!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Deny tries to hold on but Sub pushes him away. Deny really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sub. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Deny might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Sub haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Sub looking to control but Deny is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Deny can't escape the position.
Deny is trying to reverse the position but instead Sub has taken his back - oops! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Will Sub go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Deny tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Sub trying to control but Deny is having none of it. Deny is looking to improve his position but Sub isn't that keen on the idea. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Dubba Sub dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Sub tries for a takedown but Deny sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Deny is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Dubba Sub is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Deny stuffs the takedown attempt from Sub. Sub gets slowly back to his feet. Deny changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Sub goes for a double leg but Deny avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Deny continues to drive forward. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dubba Sub. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sub drops down looking for an ankle pick but Deny pulls his leg out and moves away.
Sub shoots in for a double leg but Deny sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Deny is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sub is defended easily by Deny.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sub shoots in looking for a takedown but Deny manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sub's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Deny leaves Sub with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. And Deny tries to counter it with a takedown but Sub pushes his down on his head and steps out. Deny gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Sub to score an easy takedown into full guard. Deny trying to control the position.
Deny wants to sweep here but Sub controlling him for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Deny throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Sub escapes and throws Deny's legs to the side, diving into side control! Deny manages to get back to half guard. Deny looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Deny tries to roll over but Sub keeps him under control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Deny is staying active underneath Sub, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Deny tries to get to full guard but Sub has control of the leg. Deny is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Deny moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Deny looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Deny working for a triangle but Sub defends it easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Sub trying to control but Deny is working from the bottom. Sub looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Deny throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dubba Sub. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sub misses with the body kick and Deny counters with a shoot takedown. Sub fights it but they end up in guard.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Sub is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Deny's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Deny trying to work for an americana but Sub has managed to regain full guard.
Sub pulls Deny in close to prevent any damage. Sub working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Deny doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Deny manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Deny passes Sub's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Sub won't allow Deny to pass to mount. Sub is trying to maintain the position but Deny is very close to passing his half guard. Deny is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Deny wants to stand but Sub has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sub trying to control but Deny postures up.
Sub moves into full guard.
Sub working a defensive guard but Deny passes into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Sub is trying to control but can't.
Deny is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Sub tries to roll over but Deny keeps him under control.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Sub doesn't succeed with the takedown and Deny decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Sub's guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Bastien Deny comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Deny has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
