Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jun Romero (ranked 4657 p4p, 5195 weight class) and Zayne Lutz (ranked 470 p4p, 491 weight class). Lutz has chosen Born To Lose - Johnny Thunders as his entrance music. Zayne Lutz is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jun Romero! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zayne Lutz! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, James Ackerman and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Danga de danga de dang - Lutz scores with a four punch combination!
It looks like Jun Romero has been cut. Romero shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Romero is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Lutz wants to control but Romero is keeping busy.
Romero prevents Lutz from improving his position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lutz tries to kick Romero off but Romero keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Lutz is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Romero pulls his head out easily. Romero has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Romero lands a nice short elbow. Romero working the head and body with strikes. Romero scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Lutz looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Romero looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ground and pound from Romero. Romero landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The fighters are battling for position here. Lutz manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Romero slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Romero landing some decent shots from guard. Romero looking to pass the guard. Lutz is looking for a triangle but Romero pushes his legs off easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Lutz throws his legs up looking for a submission but Romero uses it to pass to side control.
Lutz on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Lutz is trying to escape the position but Romero is controlling the position. Lutz is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Romero takes a little break here. Lutz wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Romero's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Romero working the head and body with strikes. Lutz tries to improve position but can't. Romero content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Lutz gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Romero trying to control the pace. Lutz trying to hold on to Romero's head to control him but Romero postures up.
Romero is controlling the pace.
Romero slips a nice elbow through Lutz's hands, connecting with Lutz's forehead. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Lutz actively working from the bottom here. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Jun Romero dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jun Romero's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. No luck for Romero with that takedown attempt. No luck with that takedown attempt from Romero. Lutz is looking to slow Romero down with leg kicks. Lutz throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Romero. Lutz tries to sprawl but Romero drives through with a takedown into half guard. Romero content to control rather than advance. Lutz wants to get back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Romero prevents Lutz from improving his position. Lutz keeps trying to improve his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lutz pushes Romero off looking to stand but Romero dives back in and keeps control.
Romero not doing much here.
Lutz tries to kick Romero off but Romero keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Romero is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Lutz is looking to control Romero's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Lutz avoid being mounted? Lutz is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Romero is staying active. Romero is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Lutz trying to control from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Lutz fails with an attempt to clinch.
Romero shoots in for a double leg but Lutz sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jun Romero. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lutz drops Romero with a beautiful combination! Romero stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Lutz is looking for the KO! Lutz lands with a thumping leg kick.
No joy there for Lutz, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Romero half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Romero gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Romero tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Lutz is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Romero buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Romero!! Romero is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Lutz throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Zayne Lutz! Zayne Lutz seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
