Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Scott Thompson (ranked 1820 p4p, 3315 weight class) and Jacques Pierre (ranked 215 p4p, 374 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Thompson might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Redneck Summer - Ben Hudson. Scott Thompson had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Scott Thompson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jacques Pierre !
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Jorge Garcia and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pierre throws a shot from downtown. Thompson moves away and avoids it.
Pierre throws a lazy right hand but Thompson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Pierre looks to throw the jab but Thompson is out of range.
Thompson cracks Pierre with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Thompson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Pierre but Pierre pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Thompson lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Thompson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Thompson scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Pierre tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Thompson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Thompson in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
It looks like Jacques Pierre has been cut.

Thompson has control of an arm but Pierre manages to advance to Thompson's back!

Jacques Pierre 's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Jacques Pierre 's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
