Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between SaioG Snake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Figari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Figari comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Here comes the boom kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, SaioG Snake! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Andrew Figari! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Edson Gomes and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Figari closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Figari lands in his opponent's guard. Figari trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Snake uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Figari gets a takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Snake regains full guard. Nicely done. Figari gets to his feet - Snake follows without any prompting. The fighters circling - Snake throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
That's one minute gone in the round. Snake shoots and misses and Figari counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Snake tries to get to full guard but Figari has control of the leg. Snake is looking to control Figari's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Snake avoid being mounted? Figari is trying to control the action in half guard but Snake is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Snake is trying to control but Figari manages to pass to mount!
Figari trying to control but he's not successful this time. Snake keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Snake slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Snake tries to get to full guard but Figari has control of the leg. Figari postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Snake to stand up. Figari uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Snake. Snake closes the distance looking to clinch and Figari counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Snake! Figari looks gassed!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Snake tries to lock up and control but Figari gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Figari looking to control but Snake is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Snake is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Figari can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Snake is looking to escape. Snake is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Snake is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Snake bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Snake stops Figari from standing up. Snake gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Figari should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Snake doesn't succeed with the takedown and Figari counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Snake! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Figari tries to control but Snake wriggling away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andrew Figari dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Snake wants to clinch up but Figari keeps it at a distance. Snake with a poor takedown and Figari counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Snake is looking to get back to full guard here but Figari has managed to pass to side control instead. Snake is desperately trying to improve his position but Figari has a good base and remains in mount. Figari wants to control the pace but Snake is squirming around nicely. Snake really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Figari tries to control but Snake wriggling away. Snake flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Snake tries to reverse the position but Figari maintains control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Snake sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Figari is thwarting Snake's attempts to control the position. Figari tries to stand but his arm is trapped. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Snake is looking to control Figari's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Snake avoid being mounted? Figari is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Snake reverses the position - he's now on top in Figari's guard.

Snake with a flurry of punches that miss. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Snake controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andrew Figari showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Snake has his takedown stuffed and Figari counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Figari. Snake is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Figari distracts Snake with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Snake will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Figari gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. SaioG Snake seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Figari avoids the head kick by Snake.
Snake keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Figari. Snake is looking to clinch. Figari looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Snake is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Figari is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Snake wants to try and get back to his feet. Figari looking to control but Snake is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Snake is desperately trying to improve his position but Figari has a good base and remains in mount. Snake is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Andrew Figari is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Snake flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
And that's the end of the fight! Andrew Figari comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Figari has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
