Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jon Blake (ranked 4350 p4p, 3700 weight class) and Wesley Hess (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jon Blake!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Wesley Hess!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hess has a takedown stuffed.
Wesley Hess seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Both fighters circling a little - Blake finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Blake circles away from the clinch attempt.
Blake seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Blake tries to work over Hess's front leg with a kick but Hess checks it.
Hess has a takedown stuffed.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hess shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Blake as he jumps to the side.
Jon Blake has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wesley Hess.
Hess tries to clinch but Blake is having none of it.

Hess shoots for a double leg takedown but Blake sprawls well. He's pushed Hess's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Blake looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Blake fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Blake tries to sprawl but Hess drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Blake is trying to control but Hess manages to pass to mount!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Blake is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Blake is trying to escape the mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Blake sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Blake wants to get back to full guard but Hess has passed into side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Blake tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Hess presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Blake is trying desperately to improve position.

Hess is standing up, even though he is in mount.
A low kick from Blake is predictable there
and Hess counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Blake is looking to get back to is feet but Hess passes into side control.
Blake tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Hess presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Hess trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Blake wants to hold on but Hess pushes him away.
Blake tries to buck Hess off but he can't manage it.
Hess working for a submission but Blake is keeping him at bay.
Blake is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Blake is desperately trying to improve his position but Hess has a good base and remains in mount.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hess trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Blake slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Blake is trying to control but can't.
Hess stops Blake from getting back to his feet.
Blake looking for submissions off his back.
Blake wants to get back to his feet.
Hess seems to be working for a kimura but Blake defends the submission attempt.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Wesley Hess dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Blake keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Blake throws a solid leg kick but Hess takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Blake.
Horrible takedown attempt by Hess or perhaps it was just good defense by Blake, which made it look bad.
Hess has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Blake closes the distance and clinches.

Blake lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Blake really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Blake keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Hess's efforts to push away.
Blake has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Hess regains guard immediately.
Hess looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Hess trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Blake passes Hess's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Blake wants to work for an arm triangle but Hess is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Blake is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Hess gets back to full guard.
Blake is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Hess is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Hess has escaped and now he's on top!
Blake trying to keep a closed guard but Hess is proving a slippery customer.

Hess prevents Blake from getting back to his feet.
Blake is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Blake will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Hess drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Hess seems to have locked his on tight now - Blake screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Hess, as he picks up the win!
