Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Godfrey Lacroix (ranked 1799 p4p, 1955 weight class) and Rodri Yairguez (ranked 154 p4p, 166 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Yairguez's choice of entrance music: El Corrido De Chihuahua - Los Rieleros Del Norte. Rodri Yairguez told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Godfrey Lacroix!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 1, fighting out of London, Rodri Yairguez!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Nard Betker and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yairguez shoots in but Lacroix avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Yairguez has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Godfrey Lacroix.
Well Yairguez has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
