Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Luke Hickman (ranked 5284 p4p, 25502 weight class) and XX Man (ranked 416 p4p, 424 weight class). The key to victory for Luke Hickman has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hickman gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Man to score an easy takedown into full guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Hickman wants to get back to his feet but Man passes into half guard.
Man has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Hickman is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Luke Hickman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hickman fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Man.

Man sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Man shoots in for a takedown but Hickman shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Man changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hickman tries to avoid it but Man manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hickman to the ground. Hickman escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Luke Hickman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of XX Man.
