The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stanton throws a body punch but Ribeiro moves out of range.
Stanton lunges at Ribeiro with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Ribeiro's hand.
Ribeiro ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

and Ribeiro connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

It looked like Stanton was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Stanton throws a chopping leg kick but Ribeiro manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
It seemed like Ribeiro was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

As Ribeiro looks to move away, Stanton throws a big counter combo but Ribeiro just gets out of the way.

Stanton quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Ribeiro swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
It looked like Stanton was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Ribeiro.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Stanton closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Ribeiro out cold! Ribeiro corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
