Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Conor Doyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Peters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Conor Doyle! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Peters! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Doyle closes this distance looking for a takedown but Peters circles away. Peters fails with the takedown and Doyle counters with a head kick. That will keep Peters thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Peters fails with the takedown and Doyle counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Peters with a lazy takedown attempt and Doyle counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Conor Doyle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Peters. Doyle escapes and gets back to his feet. Left hook, right uppercut from Doyle. Peters gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Doyle counters with a leg kick. Doyle closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Peters to the mat! Peters manages to get full guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Doyle looking to pass the guard. Peters throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Peters looks gassed! Peters escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Doyle gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Doyle looking to pass the guard. Doyle missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Doyle has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Doyle lands a couple of elbows. Doyle avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Doyle wants to stand but Peters has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Doyle gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Peters fails with the takedown and Doyle counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Peters looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Doyle puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Peters blocking the ground and pound attempt from Doyle. Doyle is looking for a kimura here.
Peters looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Peters looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Doyle is working for a submission of some sort.
Peters is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Doyle pulls his head out easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Doyle wants to get back to his feet.
Peters looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Doyle is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Peters actively working from the bottom here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Peters looking for submissions off his back. Doyle missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Peters is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Doyle pulls his head out easily. Peters keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Peters looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Doyle looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Peters is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Doyle's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Doyle's back! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Conor Doyle dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Peters shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Peters working for a guillotine from mount but Doyle is in no mood to give up. Doyle is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Peters has taken his back! Peters working for a choke but Doyle is defending well. Doyle is trying to get back to his feet but Peters has full control of the position and if anything, Doyle has just worked his way into a worse spot. Doyle trying to control the hands but Peters won't let him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Doyle is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Peters gets his way!
That's one minute gone in the round. Doyle tries to break free.
Doyle trying to control the hands but Peters breaks the grip. Doyle is trying to defend against the choke here but Peters has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Peters Tightens the hold and Doyle taps out furiously! Peters displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
