Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Guus Asjes (ranked 3430 p4p, 3738 weight class) and Tomo Tama (ranked 380 p4p, 405 weight class). Tomo Tama is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

We've been informed that Tama has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Asjes swings for the body but Tama moves out of range.
Tomo Tama seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tama takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Tama shoots for a takedown but Asjes saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Asjes tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Tama paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Tama tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Asjes defends well and Tama ends up having to push Asjes into the ropes where they will battle it out in the clinch.

and Asjes counters with a left and a right that stings Tama.
Tama shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Asjes as he jumps to the side.
Guus Asjes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tomo Tama.
