Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bo McGuire!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ed Kemper!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Marco Blurstr�m and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGuire tries to clinch but Kemper is having none of it.
McGuire misses with a left hand
and Kemper counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

It looks like Bo McGuire has been cut.
McGuire lands with a straight right. Kemper didn't see that one coming.

It looks like Ed Kemper has been cut.
McGuire throws a lazy right hand but Kemper sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Kemper unleashes a big counter combination but McGuire bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
McGuire waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Kemper.
Kemper let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Kemper slips under a jab from McGuire.
Kemper doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

McGuire closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.
A right handed body shot lands from McGuire.
McGuire is looking to control Kemper's arms but Kemper gets an underhook and turns him. Now McGuire has his back to the ropes.
Kemper looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Kemper working hard to break the clinch.
McGuire lands a knee to the body.
McGuire lands a left hand.

That's one minute gone in the round.
McGuire tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
McGuire lands a hook that snaps the head of Kemper backwards.
McGuire lands with a left to the head.
Kemper is trying to break the clinch but McGuire has him pressed against the ropes.

Kemper pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
McGuire throws a sloppy body shot
and Kemper counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. McGuire is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Kemper uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by McGuire.
McGuire moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromKemper.
McGuire throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Kemper ducks under a wild hook from McGuire.
Kemper throws out a counter right but McGuire avoids it with no problem.

McGuire fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kemper, pushing him back against the ropes.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
McGuire lands a right hand.
McGuire landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

McGuire lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Kemper backwards.
McGuire tries to throw a body punch but Kemper avoids it by throwing McGuire back against the ropes.
McGuire is trying to maintain a safe position but Kemper gets an underhook and turns McGuire into the ropes.
McGuire lands with a light punch inside.

That has opened up Ed Kemper's cut even more.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. McGuire obliges.

McGuire is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Kemper's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
McGuire unloads a knee to the mid-section. Kemper lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
McGuire utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
McGuire's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

McGuire lands with a short shot to the head.

McGuire lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Kemper.
McGuire cracks Kemper with a nice body shot.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. McGuire obliges.
McGuire lands with a short head shot on the inside.
McGuire tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
A frustrated look appears on Kemper's face as he tries to break the clinch.
McGuire is trying to stall.
McGuire lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Kemper's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
McGuire tries a body shot but Kemper blocks it.
McGuire misses with a hook to the ribs.
McGuire lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Kemper has had enough of the clinch but McGuire keeps him there for the moment.
McGuire lands with a right to the head.
McGuire is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McGuire digs a right hand underneath Kemper's ribcage. Kemper let out a lung full of air as it connected.
I was talking to McGuire's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

The cut above Ed Kemper's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

McGuire drops Kemper with a big knee straight up the middle! Kemper is covering up against the ropes but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!

Kemper is rocked!
A looping hook to the body misses from McGuire. Kemper does a little dance to reset his feet.
Kemper is still on wobbly legs! Can McGuire finish him?

McGuire has closed the distance and engaged Kemper in a clinch.
Kemper seems to have recovered his senses.
McGuire gets through Kemper's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Ed Kemper's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Ed Kemper's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 5:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Bo McGuire!

Our winner, Bo McGuire, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
