Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rey Ross (ranked 4762 p4p, 25225 weight class) and Baro Rizzveira (ranked 393 p4p, 429 weight class). Rizzveira has chosen Itsári- Sepultura as his entrance music. Baro Rizzveira will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Rey Ross! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Baro Rizzveira! The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Paul Gruel and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rizzveira throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ross. Ross scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Ross throws a head kick that misses. Donk. Ross catches Rizzveira right on the button with a cross.
It looks like Baro Rizzveira has been cut. Ross tries to bum rush Rizzveira with a series of wild strikes but Rizzveira uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Rizzveira tries to counter by closing the distance. We've been hearing reports that Ross has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Ross clinches up with Rizzveira and pushes him back against the cage. Ross avoiding damage as Rizzveira throws knees to the body.
Rizzveira tries to pull guard but Ross holds him up against the cage and eventually Rizzveira drops back down to his feet.
Rizzveira decides to pull guard. Ross throwing strikes but missing. Rizzveira working for a triangle but Ross defends it easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ross is looking to work some ground and pound but Rizzveira has wrist control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rizzveira has momentary wrist control but Ross slips an elbow through the middle. Rizzveira working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Ross. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ross accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Ross chips away with some ground and pound.
Rizzveira is rocked! Rizzveira looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Rizzveira is still in real trouble! Can Ross finish him? Ross gets to his feet and stands over Rizzveira, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Rizzveira felt that one! Ross unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Rizzveira from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rey Ross! Rey Ross took to the mic after the fight and begged the organizational hierarchy for a shot at the title.
