Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vadim Drovzekov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Phoenix Ware!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Konstantin Menshow and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ware shoots for a takedown but Drovzekov saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Drovzekov drops down looking for a counter takedown but Ware sprawls and moves away.
Ware is looking to clinch.
Drovzekov looking to score a takedown here. Ware is defending well but Drovzekov drives through and ends up in Ware's guard.
Drovzekov passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Drovzekov stands up.
Drovzekov fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Ware sprawls well initially but Drovzekov persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Ware looks winded!
Ware is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Drovzekov scores with a couple of nice shots.
Drovzekov is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Drovzekov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Drovzekov is working for a kimura but Ware is defending it quite comfortably.

Drovzekov passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Ware!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ware can do anything to dispel that myth.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Drovzekov is landing with some decent strikes but Ware is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Drovzekov looking to finish Ware with some ground and pound. This is bad for Ware!
Ware really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Drovzekov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ware has left one of his arms exposed and Drovzekov doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Ware screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
