Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joe Miranda (ranked 5210 p4p, 3801 weight class) and Mukhtar Mihailovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miranda has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mukhtar Mihailovic!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Valeri Chadov and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mihailovic slips a jab and a cross from Miranda.
Miranda tries to sprawl but Mihailovic drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Miranda tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Mihailovic manages to move to mount!

Miranda tries to hold on but Mihailovic pushes him away.

Mihailovic has hold of Miranda's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Miranda manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

It looks like Mihailovic might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Miranda seems to have got his legs back now.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Miranda is bucking up trying to escape but Mihailovic cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Mihailovic throws a front kick that sends Miranda stumbling back into the cage.
Mihailovic drives through and clinches with Miranda against the cage.
Mihailovic breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Mihailovic feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Mihailovic has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Miranda is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Mihailovic yanks on the arm and Miranda is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Mihailovic.

Mukhtar Mihailovic opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
