And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 31 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Magomed Magomedsharipov!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Albert Achterberg and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Magomedsharipov but Magomedsharipov pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Magomedsharipov with the counter takedown but Gracie avoids it easily.
Gracie shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Magomedsharipov manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Magomedsharipov is pulling down on Gracie's head. It's preventing any offense from Gracie, at least for the moment.
Gracie is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Magomedsharipov is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Magomedsharipov has escaped and now he's on top!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gracie escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Magomedsharipov gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Magomedsharipov got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gracie has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Magomedsharipov has managed to get both his arms back between Gracie's legs - danger averted.

Magomedsharipov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Gracie is tightening it up a little... Magomedsharipov has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Magomedsharipov reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Magomedsharipov taps out! Nice BJJ there by Gracie!
