Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Silva (ranked 3814 p4p, 3804 weight class) and Nordan Shlat (ranked 0 p4p, 411 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, James Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nordan Shlat!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Steven Brown and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Shlat but Shlat pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Shlat moves in looking to clinch but Silva pushes him off.
Shlat shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Silva as he jumps to the side.
It looked like Silva was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Shlat takes the fight into the clinch.
Shlat decides to pull guard.
Silva stops Shlat from standing up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Silva looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Shlat really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Shlat fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Silva has hold of one of Shlat's legs. Shlat is fighting the takedown attempt but Silva gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Silva tries to stand but Shlat is controlling from the bottom.

Silva controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
Shlat controls Silva momentarily but Silva frees himself.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

and Shlat counters with a nice uppercut.

Silva throws a low kick but it's checked well by Shlat.
Shlat looks to score with a jab to the body but Silva is just out of range.
Shlat has a takedown stuffed.
Silva shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Shlat clinches up with Silva and pushes him back against the cage.
Silva tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Shlat smiles and moves away.
Some bone on bone action there as Shlat checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

That was a close second round but I would say that James Silva will probably get the nod.

James Silva showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Silva, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
