Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jin Li (ranked 2948 p4p, 2991 weight class) and Matthew Hudson (ranked 319 p4p, 324 weight class). Matthew Hudson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jin Li! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Matthew Hudson! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Paul Tew and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hudson moves into range and connects with a jab. Hudson lands an overhand right. Nice uppercut there from Hudson. Hudson paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Hudson lands with a nice body punch. Hudson jabbing away but nothing is landing. A jab from Hudson finds it's way through Li's defenses. Hudson throws a body shot but no joy. Hudson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Hudson lands with a right hand. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Li avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Li seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Hudson gets tackled into the cage by Li. Li maintains the clinch. Hudson swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Li is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Hudson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Li. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hudson lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Li backwards. Hudson lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Li wants a takedown but no success here.

Hudson lands a left hand that snaps the head of Li backwards. Li's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Hudson misses with a hook from the clinch. Hudson lands a right hand. Hudson fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Li is trying to maintain a safe position but Hudson gets an underhook and turns Li into the cage. Li has Hudson pressed against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Li changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Hudson fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jin Li. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hudson scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Hudson throws a shot from downtown. Li moves away and avoids it. Hudson might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Hudson looks to score with a jab to the body but Li is just out of range. Li takes one on the button. Hudson is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Li had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hudson scores with the left hand. Li knows he should have avoided that one.
Li is rocked! Hudson fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Li square on the jaw! Damn, Li is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
