Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Koen Webb (ranked 4892 p4p, 25382 weight class) and Thomas Banton (ranked 478 p4p, 502 weight class). The key to victory for Koen Webb has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Koen Webb!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Thomas Banton!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Chris Edwards and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banton changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Webb tries to avoid it but Banton manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Webb to the ground. Webb escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Good exchange - Webb coming out on top.
Banton dives in and scores a takedown into Webb's guard.
Webb is wriggling around but Banton manages to pass to half guard.

Banton is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Webb wants to get back to his feet.
Banton has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Webb is looking to get back to is feet but Banton passes into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Banton prevents Webb from escaping the position.
Webb might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Banton decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Webb's corner calls for a 1-2. Webb obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Webb throws a series of punches but Banton avoids them all with ease.

Webb throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Banton throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Webb.
Webb appears to be looking for a big counter.
Banton throws a head kick but Webb moves out of range.
Webb wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Banton tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
An inside leg kick lands from Banton.
Banton takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Koen Webb seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Webb clinches.
Banton has clasped his hands together around Webb's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Webb bucks up and tries to throw Banton off but instead Banton has got his back!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Banton lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Webb.

Webb is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Banton tightening his grip on Webb, looking for the choke.

Banton is trying to control but Webb is trying to escape here - he's now mounted.
Banton with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Banton lands a big elbow.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
You get the feeling that Webb really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Banton swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Webb is now in Banton's guard. A big mistake from Banton there, giving up the dominant position!
Webb is looking to stand up but Banton won't let him.
Banton seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Webb stays in close to Banton's body and controls the position.
Banton keeping moving, preventing Webb from controlling successfully.
Webb tries to stand but Banton is controlling from the bottom.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Koen Webb will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Banton throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Webb throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Banton holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Banton has Webb pressed against the cage, preventing Webb from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Banton blocks an uppercut.
Webb can't break the clinch.
Banton jumps into guard, dragging Webb to the mat.
Webb slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Banton wants to stand and escape but Webb is having none of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Webb would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Webb tries to close the distance and clinch up but Banton swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Banton lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Webb circles away quickly and effectively.
Banton tries a head kick but it misses.
Koen Webb is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Banton has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Banton is trying hard to land a takedown here. Webb sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Banton is breathing heavily.
Webb throws a one two combo.
Banton is rocked!

Webb is throwing punches like he's double parked. Oh my word! Huge right hand from Webb shuts the power down on Banton. Lights out, game over! Webb is your winner.
