Nice cross by Penn.
Penn lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Cobb closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Penn did well to prevent Cobb getting side control.
Cobb seems to be working for a kimura but Penn defends the submission attempt.
Cobb stalling.
Cobb uses his free foot to push down on Penn's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Penn.
Penn is in all sorts of trouble here.

Cobb fails to take his opponent's back.
Penn is desperately trying to improve his position but Cobb has a good base and remains in mount.
Penn reaches up to try and control the position but Cobb seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Penn rolls and tries to escape and now Cobb has his back!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
