Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dat Boi Choi (ranked 4105 p4p, 4814 weight class) and Dechlan Tomsett (ranked 332 p4p, 384 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dat Boi Choi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Dechlan Tomsett! The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Ackerman and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tomsett comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Tomsett throws a good cross that connects.
Choi tries to clinch up. Tomsett throws a wild combination but nothing lands. It looked like Choi wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Tomsett throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Choi. Tomsett looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Choi seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Choi takes a shot right to the bread basket. Tomsett looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Choi looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Tomsett working the head and body with strikes. Choi looking for submissions off his back. Tomsett is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Tomsett looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Tomsett is trying to control. Choi wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Choi wants to get back to his feet.
Tomsett lands strikes from half guard. Tomsett performing his best blanket impression for a moment. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Tomsett lands a nice short elbow. Tomsett is looking to take a break and control but Choi is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Tomsett working Choi over with strikes. Still in half guard, Tomsett seems content to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tomsett looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Choi with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Tomsett is looking to advance position but Choi won't allow it. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Tomsett in particular looking to stall. Tomsett lands strikes from half guard. Tomsett looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. You can see the frustration on Choi's face as Tomsett controls the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tomsett trying to control the action but Choi is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tomsett controlling the position from side mount. Tomsett scores with punches from side control. Tomsett lands a nice forearm strike. Tomsett taking a breather here. Choi tries to improve position but can't. You can see the frustration on Choi's face as Tomsett controls the position. Tomsett wants to lay and pray for a moment but Choi keeps working. Tomsett lands some shots froms side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Choi is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Tomsett has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Tomsett tries to advance position but instead Choi slips a leg back in to half guard. Tomsett lands with a punch from half guard. Tomsett sitting and controlling from the half guard. Tomsett looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Choi with a short hammerfist. Dechlan Tomsett dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Choi misses with a wild combination.
Tomsett looks to land a combination but Choi avoids it well. Choi clinches with his opponent.
Choi is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Tomsett is defending well for now. Choi pulls guard successfully.

Tomsett controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tomsett is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tomsett working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Choi's head. Tomsett distracts Choi with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Tomsett is stalling in the full guard. Tomsett scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Tomsett trying to control but Choi is working from the bottom. Tomsett is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Tomsett postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Choi is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Tomsett, into his guard. Tomsett wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tomsett looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Choi's corner is telling him to maintain position. Tomsett trying to control the position here. Tomsett is trying to control the position but Choi postures up. Dechlan Tomsett has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Choi stands and throws Tomsett's legs to the side, diving into side control. Tomsett stops Choi from passing to mount. Tomsett tries to get back to half guard but can't. Tomsett gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Tomsett regains full guard. Nicely done. Choi won't allow Tomsett to sweep him here. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Tomsett holds on and takes a little breather. Choi will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Choi stopping the sweep attempt from Tomsett. Choi looking to pass the guard.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Tomsett lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Choi circles away quickly and effectively. Choi attempts a counter takedown but Tomsett avoids it well and moves away. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! A punch combination from Tomsett misses. Tomsett thows a leg kick but Choi checks it and Choi counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Choi misses with a takedown and Tomsett cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Dechlan Tomsett will probably get the nod - 10:9. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round! Choi fails in his attempt to clinch. Dechlan Tomsett is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Tomsett misses with a wild combination.

Choi tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Tomsett manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Choi darts in trying to clinch and Tomsett counters with a two punch combo. A left lands for Tomsett. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tomsett swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Choi takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Tomsett throws a shot to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round. Tomsett lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Tomsett throws a series of punches but Choi avoids them all with ease. Tomsett fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Tomsett is looking for the big counter here. Choi tries to clinch up but Tomsett circles away and keeps his distance. Dat Boi Choi is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Tomsett closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Choi's guard. Choi is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Tomsett presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Tomsett takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Choi has had enough of the clinch but Tomsett keeps him there for the moment. Tomsett can't find room to land a body shot as Choi controls the action.
Tomsett keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Choi's efforts to push away. Choi is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Tomsett pulls him back up using the underhooks.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Choi is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Choi throws an elbow but it misses.
Tomsett doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Choi is looking to take this one to the mat. Tomsett has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Tomsett blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Choi wants a takedown but no success here.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dat Boi Choi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Choi is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Tomsett to keep the fight standing. Choi stops a takedown attempt from Tomsett.
Choi jumps guard but Tomsett stands there with Choi around his waist. Choi gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Choi drops down looking for an ankle pick but Tomsett pulls his leg out and moves away.
Tomsett darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Choi has one foot on Tomsett's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Choi tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tomsett swivels and escapes. Tomsett tries to bum rush Choi with a series of wild strikes but Choi uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Choi is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Tomsett. This has been an exciting period of action! Tomsett throws a one two combo.
A punch combination from Tomsett misses. Dechlan Tomsett seems to be getting the better of the standup. Choi swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

A right-left combo lands from Tomsett. Choi gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Choi not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Dat Boi Choi has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Tomsett passes Choi's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Dechlan Tomsett comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Tomsett winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
