Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Adan Blair (ranked 25431 p4p, 5025 weight class) and Bobby Stuarts (ranked 338 p4p, 331 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Adan Blair!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Bobby Stuarts!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Andrew Berry and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stuarts fails to land the takedown.
Blair takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Stuarts throws a leg kick
and Blair counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Stuarts misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Stuarts fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Blair.
Blair circles away from the clinch attempt

and Blair decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Stuarts's guard.

Stuarts is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Blair is aware though and is defending well.

Blair decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Stuarts thows a leg kick but Blair checks it

and Blair counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Stuarts is trying to escape back to his feet but Blair uses the scramble to pass into side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Stuarts wants to control but Blair postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Blair trying to control the action but Stuarts is working from the bottom.
Blair throwing shots but missing, from side control.

Blair stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Stuarts scores with a nice body kick.
Blair tries to clinch but Stuarts is having none of it.
Blair misses with a head kick.

Blair fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Stuarts sprawls well initially but Blair persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Stuarts is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Still in half guard, Blair seems content to control.
Blair prevents Stuarts from improving his position.
Stuarts is staying active underneath Blair, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Stuarts trying to hold on to Blair's head to control him but Blair postures up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Stuarts throws a low kick but it's checked well by Blair.
It looked like Blair was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
A low kick from Stuarts misses

and Blair counters with a single leg into guard. Stuarts didn't expect that.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Blair looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Stuarts is trying to control the position but Blair postures up.
Stuarts tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Stuarts working a defensive guard but Blair passes into half guard.
Blair trying to control the action but Stuarts is working from the bottom.
Stuarts trying to hold on to Blair's head to control him but Blair postures up.

Blair is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Stuarts is trying to control but can't.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Adan Blair dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.


Excellent takedown into side control there by Blair.
You can see the frustration on Stuarts's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Stuarts tries to buck Blair off but Blair is having none of it.
Stuarts wants to control but Blair postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Blair has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Thud! ouch! good body kick from Stuarts - that will leave a mark!
Stuarts lets loose with a powerful body kick. Blair will feel that in the morning.
A head kick misses from Blair.
Blair is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Stuarts can do to turn this around?

Stuarts tries to sprawl but Blair drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Stuarts is pressing down on Blair's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Blair stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stuarts swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Stuarts is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Blair knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stuarts on the ground.
Stuarts looking for a sweep. Not yet Stuarts, not yet.
Stuarts is trying to keep Blair in close.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Stuarts tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Stuarts fails with a takedown attempt.

Blair looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Stuarts is breathing heavily.
Blair trying to control the position from guard on top but Stuarts is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Blair stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stuarts swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Stuarts has Blair pulled in close to control his posture.

Stuarts looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Stuarts working a defensive guard here.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Stuarts is on top in guard.

Blair tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Stuarts trying to control the position from guard on top but Blair is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Blair lands a good elbow from the bottom.
Stuarts trying to control but Blair is working from the bottom.
Blair will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Stuarts trying to control the position from guard on top but Blair is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Adan Blair dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Stuarts bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Stuarts will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Blair will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Stuarts throws the left hand but Blair avoids the punch easily.
Bobby Stuarts seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Blair shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Blair showed some decent athleticism there.
Stuarts wants to control but Blair is keeping busy and won't allow it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Blair is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Blair prevents Stuarts from improving his position.

Blair thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Stuarts's head.
Stuarts is looking to improve his position.

Blair stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Stuarts tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Blair is able to avoid easily.

Blair looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Blair is nestled in close to Stuarts, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Blair wants to control but Stuarts is keeping him busy.

Stuarts regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Blair.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Stuarts is on top in guard.

Stuarts wants to pass the guard but Blair is keeping the position.
Bobby Stuarts has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Blair wants to control but Stuarts passes easily into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Blair tries to kick Stuarts off but Stuarts keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Blair is kicking away at Stuarts from the bottom - trying to push off and stand up. Stuarts grabs hold of a leg and drops back for a heel hook! The two fighters roll across the mat, with Blair trying to push Stuarts off... Blair taps! He's tapped! This one is all over! A throwback to the old Pancrase there with an infrequently seen submission hold! Nice work.
