Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Melvin Klein!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Arthur Horton!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Josh West and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Klein defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Horton.
Klein tests Horton's chin there with a solid looking shot.
A decent looking cross lands there for Klein.
Horton drops his hands momentarily and Klein takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Horton closes this distance looking for a takedown but Klein circles away.
Klein scores with a hook.
Melvin Klein seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Horton with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Klein to score with a decent uppercut.
Horton shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Klein as he avoids it easily.

Klein looks to land a left hand but Horton moved out of range nicely.
Horton changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Klein's corner calls for a 1-2. Klein obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

and Horton decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Klein's guard.
Horton gets to his feet. Klein looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Klein is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

Horton looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Klein is fending him off so far but Horton persists. Nope, Klein circles away and we're back to standing.
Klein feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Hortons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Horton.
Klein swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Klein dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Horton fails with the takedown.

Klein bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Horton takes one to the side of the head.
Klein connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Klein scores with a shot to the body.
Horton wants to clinch up but Klein keeps it at a distance.
Horton throws a head kick but Klein moves out of range.
Klein scores with a hook to the body. Horton takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Klein slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Klein connects with a crisp jab.
Klein lands with a cross.
Melvin Klein is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Klein cracks Horton with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Klein lands a big right hand that sends Horton crashing to the mat! Klein stays standing though and waves Horton back to his feet!
Horton is rocked!
Horton glances at the clock... BAM! Klein nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Horton crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Horton is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Melvin Klein!
