Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Robbie Shakespeare!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Monni Mantzurin!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Alexandre Firmino and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mantzurin looks for a takedown but Shakespeare sprawls well.
Shakespeare throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Shakespeare throws a jab but it's blocked by Mantzurin.
Shakespeare waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Mantzurin.
An inside leg kick from Shakespeare misses.
A slow jab from Shakespeare misses its intended target.
Shakespeare has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Mantzurin closes the distance but Shakespeare moves to the side
and Shakespeare cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

It looks like Monni Mantzurin has been cut.
Shakespeare misses with an uppercut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shakespeare misses with a hook to the body
and Mantzurin counters with a three punch combo that has Shakespeare backing up. Shakespeare nods at Mantzurin to acknowledge the strikes.
Shakespeare throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Despite the aggression on Mantzurin's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Mantzurin throws a leg kick
and Shakespeare counters with a stiff right hand.
Shakespeare scores with the left hand. Mantzurin knows he should have avoided that one.
Shakespeare throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Mantzurin swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Shakespeare throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Mantzurin throws a fast counter high kick but Shakespeare manages to duck under it in time.
Shakespeare tries to land a front kick but Mantzurin steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Shakespeare sets himself, and Mantzurin steps forward looking for the clinch! Shakespeare avoids it this time.
Shakespeare throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Mantzurin stumbling backwards into the cage! Mantzurin bounces back off the cage towards Shakespeare, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Shakespeare lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Shakespeare celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Robbie Shakespeare!
During a confident post fight interview, Robbie Shakespeare thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
The defeated Monni Mantzurin had this to say: 'blaaaahhhh.....'.
