Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nurlan Karim (ranked 1378 p4p, 2070 weight class) and Mario Simbolon (ranked 185 p4p, 257 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Nurlan Karim!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mario Simbolon!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Saam Ante and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simbolon lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Karim at a distance.
Karim defending well as Simbolon loads up on a big left hand.
Simbolon's corner calls for a 1-2. Simbolon obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Simbolon connects with a jab.
It looks like Nurlan Karim has been cut.
Karim takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Karim connects with a high kick.
Simbolon cracks a nice hook into Karim's ribs.
Simbolon throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Karim on the side of the head.
Simbolon throws a right hand that misses
and Karim counters with a head kick that drops Simbolon to the mat! Simbolon scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Simbolon is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A jab from Simbolon misses.
Karim quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Karim drops his hands momentarily and Simbolon takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Simbolon thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Karim if he has to take too many more of those.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Karim.
As Karim backs off Simbolon throws a huge counter combo but Karim manages to avoid it all.
Simbolon lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Simbolon connects with a body shot.
Simbolon thows a left - swing and a miss!
Simbolon tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Karim was well out of range. Poor timing from Simbolon.
Simbolon catches Karim with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Karim is rocked!
Simbolon throws a pinpoint strike between Karim's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Karim crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Simbolon scores a great knockout victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Mario Simbolon!
A relieved looking Mario Simbolon thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
