Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Akira Maeda (ranked 2564 p4p, 2097 weight class) and Paulo Kogos (ranked 0 p4p, 255 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Akira Maeda!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paulo Kogos!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kogos gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Maeda is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Kogos blocking some punches.
Maeda tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Maeda managing to block the knees to the body from Kogos.
Kogos misses with a hook to the ribs.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Kogos.
Maeda can't get the takedown.
A hook to the body from Kogos.
A head punch on the inside from Maeda fails to land.
Maeda tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Kogos's elbow.
Maeda tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Kogos breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
We've been informed that Kogos has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Maeda lands a jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Maeda fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Akira Maeda. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kogos shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Maeda napping and manages to drive through into side control!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kogos landing strikes.
Maeda takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Maeda on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Kogos grinds an elbow into Maeda's temple.
Maeda is rocked!
A big shot lands for Kogos! That's hurt Maeda! Will he recover? Kogos fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Paulo Kogos!
Paulo Kogos took his opportunity to call for a title shot in his post fight interview.
