Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Henry Shorts!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marcos Manteiga!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Atkins and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shorts shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Manteiga sprawls well. Manteiga wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Shorts gets slowly back to his feet.
Shorts walks into a left hand.
Manteiga throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Shorts counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Manteiga pushes Shorts off and gets back to his feet.
Manteiga bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Shorts's head.
Shorts fails with a takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Shorts shoots in for a double leg but Manteiga sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Henry Shorts. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Shorts checks a leg kick.
Horrible takedown attempt by Shorts or perhaps it was just good defense by Manteiga, which made it look bad.
Shorts shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Manteiga pinned against the cage. Manteiga gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Shorts moves out of range of the strikes.
Manteiga scores with a jab. Shorts acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Manteiga throws a looping overhand right but Shorts ducks down to avoid it.
Manteiga misses with a low kick.
Manteiga attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

Shorts tries for a takedown but Manteiga sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Shorts fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Manteiga fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Shorts manages to avoid it.

Manteiga looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Manteiga misses with an uppercut.
Manteiga misses with a hook.
Shorts tries to counter with a takedown but Manteiga is quick to defend against it.
Marcos Manteiga is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Nice defenses there by Shorts.
Shorts shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Shorts will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Manteiga leaves Shorts with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Shorts doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Shorts takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Manteiga chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Manteiga looks to land a body kick but Shorts moved away.
Shorts feinted with a counter takedown.
Shorts fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Manteiga is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Shorts closes this distance looking for a takedown but Manteiga circles away.
Shorts walks into a straight right hand from Manteiga.
Manteiga misses with an uppercut
and Shorts counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Shorts content to control rather than advance.
Shorts wants to take a breather but Manteiga is having none of it.

Manteiga kicks Shorts off and gets back to his feet.
Shorts looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Manteiga cracks Shorts with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Shorts is rocked!
Shorts gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!
