Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cormac McCarthy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, EL Chapo!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Columbo Gatti and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chapo throws a right hand that McCarthy ducks under and follows up with a left that McCarthy also avoids with ease.
McCarthy throws a sloppy head kick and Chapo moves out of range easily.
A low kick lands for Chapo.
Chapo takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
McCarthy throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Chapo makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Chapo wants to clinch up but McCarthy keeps it at a distance.
Chapo stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from McCarthy.
A kick lands to the mid section there for McCarthy.
McCarthy throws a low kick but it's checked well by Chapo.
Chapo swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and McCarthy counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Chapo connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

McCarthy throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Chapo misses with a low kick.
Chapo checks a leg kick nicely.
McCarthy motions for Chapo to come forward. McCarthy throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Chapo takes a swing at McCarthy's ribcage but misses.

Chapo closes the distance and clinches.
Chapo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
McCarthy cracks Chapo with an open hand slap.
McCarthy fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
McCarthy throws a nice head kick!
It looks like EL Chapo has been cut.
Chapo fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
McCarthy thinks about countering with a body kick.
Chapo wants to clinch.
Chapo misses with a double jab.

McCarthy lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
McCarthy lands a leg kick that knocks Chapo off balance momentarily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

McCarthy fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Chapo.

McCarthy walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Chapo checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

McCarthy throws a leg kick but Chapo moved away.

Chapo avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
McCarthy goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Chapo unleashes a big counter combination but McCarthy bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
McCarthy moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Chapo darts in trying to clinch
and McCarthy counters with a nice uppercut.
McCarthy looks for the body kick but Chapo saw that one coming.
McCarthy throws a jab when Chapo was well out of range.

McCarthy breaks from the clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

McCarthy is looking to slow Chapo down with leg kicks.

Chapo avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Chapo on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts McCarthy, as that shot connected.
McCarthy throws a poor cross that misses
and Chapo makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Chapo tries to clinch up.
McCarthy appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Chapo throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
A cross from Chapo lands.
It looks like Cormac McCarthy has been cut.
Chapo is looking to clinch but McCarthy is avoiding it.
Chapo tries a head kick but it misses.
McCarthy avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Cormac McCarthy dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.
McCarthy tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Chapo is able to avoid easily.
McCarthy buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting McCarthy here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Some bone on bone action there as Chapo checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
McCarthy throws the kick towards the body but Chapo avoids it.
A low kick from McCarthy misses
and Chapo counters with a crisp one two that drops McCarthy! Chapo thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves McCarthy to his feet! McCarthy is in big trouble!
Chapo cracks McCarthy with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! McCarthy looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Chapo finish him?
McCarthy is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McCarthy thows a leg kick but Chapo checks it
and Chapo counters with a big left hand that crumples McCarthy! He was out before he hit the floor! Brutal knockout!
