Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Phoenix Waters (ranked 25459 p4p, 3743 weight class) and Baki Hanma (ranked 342 p4p, 291 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Phoenix Waters! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Baki Hanma! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Daniel Bishop and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hanma changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Waters tries to avoid it but Hanma manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Waters to the ground. Waters escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Hanma shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Waters sprawls well. Waters wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hanma gets slowly back to his feet. Hanma displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Waters. Nice takedown defense from Hanma. No joy for Waters on that attempt. Hanma feints the counter takedown. Hanma is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Waters's half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hanma sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Waters defending well though. Hanma has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hanma is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Hanma lands strikes from half guard. Waters really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hanma seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Waters is looking to improve his position.
Waters on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hanma frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Hanma tries to control but Waters wriggling away. The referee warns Waters that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Hanma with shots to the head and body - Waters looks very uncomfortable down there. Hanma putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Waters is rocked! Hanma working away from the top, dropping strikes. Oh Waters is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Waters wants to control but Hanma is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Waters seems to have got his legs back now. Hanma scoring with strikes but Waters is staying in there. A big strike lands for Hanma! That's really hurt Waters and he's turned his back - Hanma keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Hanma jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Baki Hanma!
