This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the light heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 28 wins and 14 losses; Satan Blue! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, with a TWGC record of 21 wins and 17 losses; Pablo Octavio! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, John Roberts and David Schapiro.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Octavio shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Blue (0) vs (2) Octavio Blue will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Score +3 for passing guard: Blue (5) vs (2) Octavio Blue takes Octavio's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Octavio is in trouble. Score +3 for taking back: Blue (8) vs (2) Octavio Blue just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Octavio stopping the sweep attempt from Blue. Blue wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Octavio is now in half guard. Blue trying to hold on to Octavio's head to control him but Octavio postures up.

It looks like Octavio might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance...
