This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 27 wins and 14 losses; Francisco Ngannou! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Elvis Blanc and Dillan Fox.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Horrible takedown attempt by Ngannou or perhaps it was just good defense by Alopodis, which made it look bad. Alopodis fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Ngannou throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Alopodis tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Ngannou is in Alopodis's guard. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Ngannou can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Alopodis controls the pace.
