The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Dracul drives through with a takedown into guard. Dracul pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Phillips is keeping the position for now. Phillips is pulling down on Dracul's head to control his posture. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dracul tries to free his leg and advance position but Phillips is retaining full guard.

Dracul takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Phillips is doing well to control the position and prevent Dracul from advancing to side control.

Dracul wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Phillips, who protects the arm well. Dracul wants to lay and pray for a moment but Phillips keeps working. Dracul tries to advance to mount but Phillips denies him. Phillips can't do much from the bottom here.

I really don't envy Dracul right now.
