The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Crazy Horse looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Hunter! Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Hunter (0) vs (4) Crazy Horse Hunter is trying to control Crazy Horse's posture but Crazy Horse avoids it. Hunter is looking to reverse the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Crazy Horse trying to control the action but Hunter is working from the bottom. You can see the frustration on Hunter's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hunter is being controlled here. Hunter keeps Crazy Horse under control for a moment. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Hunter tries to buck Crazy Horse off but Crazy Horse is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Crazy Horse working away. Crazy Horse looking to control but instead Hunter has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Crazy Horse wants to free his trapped foot but Hunter is holding on for dear life with his legs. Crazy Horse stalling. It looks like Crazy Horse might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Hunter tries to roll over but Crazy Horse keeps him under control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crazy Horse is looking to advance position but Hunter won't allow it. Crazy Horse keeps trying to improve his position. Crazy Horse is taking a breather. Hunter says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hunter controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Crazy Horse trying to control the pace. Hunter has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Crazy Horse is working away from the top position though. Crazy Horse wants to free his trapped foot but Hunter is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Hunter is trying is best to control the position here. Crazy Horse tries to pass to full mount but Hunter defends it. Hunter is controlling Crazy Horse's trapped leg to prevent Crazy Horse from advancing to side control.

Crazy Horse controlling the pace. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Crazy Horse working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Hunter is staying active underneath Crazy Horse, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Crazy Horse prevents Hunter from improving his position. Crazy Horse is figuring out what he wants to do next. Hunter is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Hunter holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

Still in half guard, Crazy Horse seems content to control. Hunter trying to hold on to Crazy Horse's head to control him but Crazy Horse postures up.

That's ten minutes gone in the round. Hunter is desperately trying to improve his position but Crazy Horse has a good base and remains in mount. Hunter is working hard here to advance position. Crazy Horse controlling from mount. Hunter is working to get back to half guard.
That's eleven minutes gone in the round. Hunter is squirming around, avoiding Crazy Horse's attempts to control the action. Crazy Horse looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's twelve minutes gone in the round. Hunter tries to reverse the position but Crazy Horse maintains control. Hunter wants to control but Crazy Horse is having none of it.
That's thirteen minutes gone in the round. Crazy Horse takes Hunter's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Hunter is in trouble. Score +3 for taking back: Hunter (0) vs (10) Crazy Horse Hunter trying to control the action but Crazy Horse just sinks the hooks in. Crazy Horse trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Well, with Crazy Horse on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Hunter is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
That's fourteen minutes gone in the round. Hunter trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Crazy Horse is hanging on to Hunter's back as he tries to escape.
Hunter breaks Crazy Horse's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hunter pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Crazy Horse is keeping the position for now.
