This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 60 wins and 56 losses; Esteban Mondragon! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 107 wins and 73 losses; Bogdan Kersikov!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Jorge Garcia and Franklyn Lucas.


The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.

Kersikov shoots in for a double leg but Mondragon sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Mondragon shoots in looking for a takedown but Kersikov manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mondragon's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Kersikov uses his free foot to push down on Mondragon's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Mondragon.

I really don't envy Mondragon right now.

Kersikov has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Mondragon's body.

Mondragon seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Kersikov for as long as he can get away with.
