The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, John Roberts and Columbo Gatti.


The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
Gotch changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kersikov tries to avoid it but Gotch manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kersikov to the ground. Kersikov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kersikov has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Gotch is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Kersikov has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

It looks like Gotch might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Gotch seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Gotch stands and throws Kersikov's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Gotch is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Gotch is taking a breather. Kersikov says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Gotch wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kersikov keeps working.
Kersikov can't do much from the bottom here.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Kersikov wants to control but Gotch postures up.
My spies in HELLCADEMY inform me that Gotch has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Kersikov is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Gotch wants to take a breather but Kersikov is having none of it.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Gotch's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Kersikov trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Gotch manages to pass to mount!

Kersikov moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Gotch wins on points by 11 to 0.
